One suggestion is to have your child wear part of their costume to school. Phone calls home for forgotten costume items will not be allowed.\nCostumes should be appropriate for all regular school activities like quiet work times\, recess\, and P.E. Please be aware of the activities your child will be doing\, and know that their costume may come back soiled/damaged. Tennis shoes are required for P.E. Consider sending your student with back up clothing in the event their costume fails.\nMinimal make-up is allowed\, but students are not to bring any makeup items to school for application. No full face makeup or colored hair spray\, as it will often come off on clothing\, costumes\, school supplies\, food\, and school furniture. If the makeup is creating a problem\, your child may be asked to wash it off.\nCostumes should not include accessories such as guns\, knives\, swords\, pitchforks or any other items that make them scary\, gory\, or violent. No costume masks (other than required face masks). Please pay careful attention to the appropriateness of the costume for the school environment.\n\nThe guidelines mentioned above may seem overly restrictive\, but they are designed to protect the safety of your children\nwhile assuring the opportunity for fun in the school setting. We want the children to have a great time AND have a productive day at school. SUMMARY:Virtual Back to School Night
DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to the SCS Virtual Back to School Night that will take place on September 16th. Due to the health advisory issued from Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Education earlier this month\, Back To School Night will be held virtually this year. On the morning of September 16th\, you will receive an email with an informational letter from Principal Joy Raboli\, the School Board and the Parent Advisory Committee to read at your convenience\, along with instructions on how to join a live session with your student’s teacher that same evening. This event is intended for parents and guardians only to learn all about the class curriculum. \nSee the live links and more information here! \nMiddle School\n6:00 pm – 6:30 pm Middle School Curriculum Presentation and Q&A \nElementary\nTwo live sessions will be hosted for those with multiple students.
