DESCRIPTION:**Masks required on campus** \nTeachers have prepared some additional student supplies for the upcoming weeks of Comprehensive Distance Learning. Families can pick up the supplies by following the morning car line route at the suggested car line pick up times below. \n1-40:      2:00 – 3:00 pm\n41-81:     3:00 – 4:00 pm\n82-122:     4:00 – 5:00 pm\n123-150:     5:00 – 6:00 pm \nIf you are unable to come at your suggested time\, you may come anytime between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. \nSupply Pick Up Guidelines \n\nLine up by vehicle using morning car line direction (see the map here).\nPull all the way forward to the flag before stopping.\nOnly the front vehicle by flag may exit the car to pick up. Others in line need to remain in vehicles until they are the first in line.\nItems will be organized in bags (by grade) inside the narthex of the main building and identified by individual family car line numbers. All students will have a bag to pick up.\nReturn to your vehicle and depart.\nIf you encounter any issues during pick up\, (eg. you can’t find your student’s bag) please return to your car\, park out of the car line where it is safe to do so and call the office (503-925-8007) with the issues you have encountered. DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Great Oregon ShakeOut\, we will hold a virtual earthquake drill on October 15th. During their regularly scheduled live session\, teachers will prepare their students\, then play a video clip that guides the earthquake drill. Following the drill\, there will be an open dialog with students to look for possible dangers in the classroom and at home during an earthquake that could be corrected. This is something you can do with your students as well\, see the resources on the Great Oregon ShakeOut website for more details.

SUMMARY:Picture Day
DESCRIPTION:On October 13th from 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm we will be holding an optional school picture day where parents can sign up their students to participate. You can sign up for your time slot now using the link below: \nSign up here to reserve your time. \nYou can pre-order pictures online now by going to www.dorianstudio.com/ and searching for Sherwood Charter School. You can also order them using the paper order form that was sent home in the student supply bags on October 8th. See more about ordering here. \nThis will be hosted in a car line type fashion (see map below)\, with parents remaining on campus while students get their pictures taken. We anticipate it taking a few minutes per student for the photos to be taken. \nPlease follow the picture day guidelines: \n\nStudents should dress in uniform or nicer. Everyone must wear a mask while on campus (students will be asked to briefly remove their mask for the photo.)\nEvent will happen through morning car line route (see map). Parents will remain in vehicle and be asked to pull forward to pick up area while students get their pictures taken.\nStudents will be directed by staff to a sanitization station as they enter. Photographers and staff will always wear a mask\, will never have direct contact with students and will maintain at least 6 feet distance from them at all times. Also\, they will conduct regular sanitation of work stations.\nPlease refrain from attending if you are experiencing illness of any kind. \n\n  \n \n

SUMMARY:Student Item Pick Up Day
DESCRIPTION:Teachers have prepared some additional supplies for students for the upcoming weeks of Comprehensive Distance Learning. We will be holding a student item pick up day on October 8th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Families can pick up the supplies by following the car line map at the suggested car line pick up times below: \n1-40: 2:00 – 3:00 pm\n41-81: 3:00 – 4:00 pm\n82-122: 4:00 – 5:00 pm\n123-150: 5:00 – 6:00 pm \n*If you are unable to come at your suggested time\, you may come anytime between 2:00 and 6:00 pm. \nPlease adhere to the following guidelines: \n\nLine up by vehicle using morning car line direction (see the map here). Pull all the way forward to the flag before stopping.\nOnly the front vehicle by flag may exit the car to pick up. Others in line need to remain in vehicles until they are the first in line. Please note that masks are required while on campus. \nItems will be organized in bags (by student grade) inside the narthex of the main building and identified by individual family car line numbers.\nCollect bags\, return to your vehicle and depart.\nPlease do not interact with any other families or staff during this process.\n\nIf you encounter any issues during pick up\, (eg. you can’t find your student’s bag) please return to your car\, park out of the car line where it is safe to do so and call the office (503-925-8007) with the issue you have encountered. Someone will be on site monitoring and will be able to respond to issues in a timely manner. \nThank you for your cooperation!

SUMMARY:Virtual Back to School Night
DESCRIPTION:The SCS Virtual Back to School Night will take place on October 1st. On the morning of October 1st\, you will receive an email with an informational video from Principal Joy Raboli\, the School Board and the Parent Advisory Committee to view at your convenience\, along with instructions on how to join a live session with your student’s teacher that same evening. This event is intended for parent and guardians only to learn all about the class curriculum.
