A Note From The SCS Office
We would like to thank families for your continued support as we continue to navigate our transition to Hybrid learning model. We appreciate your
patience as we work to prepare the school and keep families informed on what’s next.
Next week, we are excited to begin welcoming students back to campus with Kindergarten starting March 1st. As long as counties continue to meet the advisory metrics, we will continue to phase in additional grades in the following weeks. You can see our anticipated roll out in the calendar in the Hybrid Transition Overview. As grades are phased in, we will announce cohort assignments. This information will be emailed to families by grade at least a week in advance and is based on learning model preferences indicated on the Hybrid Transition Survey. Your student will be assigned to one of the following:
Hybrid (Cohort A or B) For cohorts A and B, there will be a combination of on campus, in-person learning taking place in the morning on specified cohort days and participating in at-home learning on the other days.
CDL (Cohort C) If you chose to remain in CDL, you can expect a transition from the current CDL schedule to the new hybrid CDL schedule once your student’s grade has been phased in (for example kinder CDL students will start the new hybrid CDL schedule on March 1st). Watch for additional communication from your student’s teacher on what to expect.
In this version of the Hybrid Transition Overview you will find additional videos on how car line will run for drop-off and pick-up and what is required for entry screening. These videos are indicated with a play symbol. Additionally, you can find a COVID-19 prevention and information letter and a COVID-19 Testing Consent Form to allow your student to be tested for COVID-19 while at school, if necessary.
